    This practice project was inspired by a real-world scenario where Mitron Bank, a legacy financial institution, aimed to launch a new line of credit cards. The goal was to analyze a sample dataset of 4000 customers across five cities to provide actionable insights for the launch.

    Key Findings

    1. Income and Spend by Demographics:
    • Gender: Male customers have significantly higher average income and spending.
    • Marital Status: Married individuals show higher financial activity compared to single individuals.
    1. Geographical Insights:
    • Top Cities: Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi NCR lead in total income and spending.
    • City-Specific Spending: Customizing credit card features for different cities is crucial.
    1. Spending Patterns:
    • Categories: The top spending categories are bills, groceries, and electronics.
    • Peak Months: Spending peaks in August and September, highlighting opportunities for targeted promotions.
    1. Occupational Insights:
    • High-Spending Occupations: Salaried IT employees and business owners demonstrate significant financial activity.

    Strategic Recommendations

    • Target High-Income Segments: Focus on premium credit card offers for high-income and high-spending customer segments.
    • Tailor Benefits to Popular Spending Categories: Introduce rewards and cashback on bills, groceries, and electronics.
    • Occupation-Specific Perks: Develop credit card benefits suited for specific occupations like IT professionals and business owners.
    • City-Specific Marketing: Prioritize high-spending cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi NCR for marketing efforts.

    Welcome to my portfolio! This is a showcase of my data analysis and visualization project for Atliq Hardwares. The journey began with a raw sales directory dump file, which I meticulously imported into SQL. Utilizing SQL queries, I verified the accuracy of the data before visualizing it in Power BI to create the comprehensive Sales Analysis Dashboard presented below.

    Key Insights:

    1. Revenue and Sales Quantity:
    • Total Revenue: ₹984.81M
    • Sales Quantity: 2M units
    • Insight: The overall performance is strong, with substantial revenue generated from a significant volume of sales.
    1. Revenue by Markets:
    • Top Markets:
      • Delhi: ₹519.51M
      • Mumbai: ₹150.08M
      • Ahmedabad: ₹132.31M
    • Insight: Delhi is the standout market, contributing over half of the total revenue. Focus marketing and sales efforts in Delhi to leverage this dominance. Mumbai and Ahmedabad also show substantial contributions and should be secondary focus areas.
    1. Sales Quantity by Markets:
    • Top Markets by Quantity:
      • Delhi: 988K units
      • Mumbai: 384K units
      • Nagpur: 262K units
    • Insight: The highest sales volume in Delhi corresponds with its highest revenue, indicating a strong market presence. Higher unit sales in Nagpur despite lower revenue suggest lower-priced or more frequently purchased items.
    1. Revenue Trend Analysis:
    • Fluctuations: Peaks around July 2018 and July 2019
    • Insight: Identify the reasons behind the peak months. It could be due to seasonal promotions, product launches, or market conditions. This can help in planning future campaigns to replicate these peaks.
    1. Top 5 Customers:
    • Top Contributors:
      • Electricalsara: ₹413.33M
      • Electricalsytical: ₹49.64M
    • Insight: Electricalsara is the dominant customer, contributing a significant portion of revenue. Strengthen relationships with top customers through loyalty programs, personalized offers, and exclusive deals.
    1. Top 5 Products:
    • Top Products:
      • (Blank): ₹468.96M (requires attention)
      • Prod040: ₹23.58M
    • Insight: The high revenue from the "blank" product entry suggests potential data quality issues. Investigate and resolve these blanks to ensure accurate reporting. Focus on promoting top-selling products like Prod040 and Prod159.

    Recommendations:

    1. Market-Specific Strategies:
    • Delhi Focus: Given its high contribution to revenue and sales quantity, implement region-specific promotions, increase product availability, and enhance customer service in Delhi.
    • Secondary Markets: Develop targeted marketing strategies for Mumbai and Ahmedabad to boost their performance further.
    1. Customer Retention:
    • Top Customers: Implement loyalty and rewards programs for top customers like Electricalsara to maintain and enhance their contribution.
    • Customer Segmentation: Analyze the behavior of top customers to identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
    1. Data Quality Improvement:
    • Resolve Data Blanks: Investigate the causes of blank entries in the product data and rectify them to ensure accurate insights and reporting.
    1. Trend Replication:
    • Peak Analysis: Study the factors that led to revenue peaks in July 2018 and 2019. Apply these learnings to plan future campaigns and promotions around similar patterns.
    1. Product Strategy:
    • Promote Top Products: Focus on marketing and inventory optimization for top-selling products like Prod040 and Prod159 to maximize revenue.
    • Address Data Gaps: Ensure all product entries are complete and accurate to avoid misrepresentation of performance.

    By leveraging these insights and implementing the recommendations, you can enhance the sales performance and overall strategy for Atliq Hardwares.
